With a career in technology spanning back to 1995, Chris Rule brings a seasoned perspective to the double-edged sword of innovation. As a Director of Technology for public schools since 1999, he witnessed the birth of the public internet and brought it into mainstream education by putting a device in the hands of every student. Today, he is navigating the dawn of AI, tackling the ethical dilemmas it presents, and preparing systems for an "Age of AI" that is poised to be more impactful than the Industrial Age in a fraction of the time. His hands-on experience runs deep. Over the decades, he has built networks, performed gray hat hacking, picked physical locks, cracked digital ones, cloned keycards, engineered custom Linux solutions, and coded his own help desk systems from scratch in ASP and PHP. This authentic experience provides the cautionary backbone for his high-tech action thrillers.

While he embraces technology professionally, Chris is a firm believer in personal choice and the traditional ways of doing things. Raised on a family ranch homesteaded in the 1800s, he prefers the rugged solitude of rural Wyoming to the bustle of city life. This contrast between the high-tech future and a self-reliant past is a central theme in his debut novel, Compliance Protocol.

When he is not writing, Chris can be found exploring the backcountry on his adventure motorcycle, turning wrenches as a shade-tree mechanic to keep his vehicles running, or taking on a new home remodeling challenge from building custom cabinets to installing his own heating system. He lives in Wyoming with his wife of over thirty-five years.
